Went down hill after Gareth Thomas was told the show was beneath him and he left.
Also getting rid of the Liberator only to replace it with a similar but inferior ship was a bit daft.

Blake 7 is one show I never got to watch, but I know it had a large following. I once had a neighbour who was a big fan. I don't know much about the series myself sorry to say.
Charles.

It started in Jan 78 and was alot better than Dr Who of the same era.
You can find free online, the early ones are best, IMO.

Like Charles this show passed me by, I remember it being on but it didn't capture my imagination like Doctor Who did, the lack of memorable 'monsters' & the fact that it was set exclusively in space must've been a factor. A show for more intelligent kids, the chess to Doctor Who's draughts. I wasn't into sci-fi & fantasy as a kid, horror was my thing.

Me too, another programme like Grange Hill which completely passed me by and I have never seen a single episode of. Sci fi just isn't my bag at all, the only, loosely, Sci fi programme I ever liked was Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Now an AP fan.

The radio version of HHGG is somewhat better, some of it is downright hilarious.

I do recall watching this series for a while, although it was probably difficult to follows as a kid. I think my parents just thought it was a load of old rubbish at the time, probably because they wouldn't have been into sci-fi anyway so why bother watching it

Noticed that Blakes 7 started on Forces TV last night ( followed by 'UFO' ). It wasn't a show I watched at the time but I thought the first episode was interesting so I'll be trying to remember to tune in.
As far as I can see it airs each week day at 9pm & 12.50am, then repeated over Sat & Sun starting 8pm.
