The Monkees bass player and singer Peter Tork has sadly passed away. Peter had battled cancer in recent times but had still performed with the Monkees in 2016.
I used to love watching the Monkees tv show when it was repeated on BBC school holiday kids tv in the early 80s. Always liked the music too.

Sad to hear of Peter Tork's passing. I also remember watching The Monkees albeit during the original broadcasts around the late 60's / early 70's. I'd always thought that Peter's features gave him an almost comedic face that was suited for such a program.
Like Del I also liked their music and for me this was the best of their hits:

Very sad news. I used to really enjoy watching The Monkeys on tv. Thanks for being a big part of my childhood Peter.
