I've just placed an order with Network. All stuff in stock but it says allow up to 28 days for delivery. How have you all found them in the past? Usually quicker than 28 days?
In case anyone is interested I purchased:
Raise The Titanic - Bluray edition Hell Drivers - Bluray edition George & Mildred box set.

My first couple or orders were reasonably alright with them but my last one I eventually had to cancel as it didn't show up after numerous emails and a near two month wait. Also felt like I getting a bit fobbed off/nowhere with them as emails kept saying they're despatching the items immediately but no delivery cards from couriers ever came in my door to show a delivery had been attempted. Might give them another try and maybe a one off but not impressed with the quality of service from Network here.

The reason for getting the Bluray editions is the extra material and improved image. Hope you're right and they come next week - Cheers Steve A bit mixed to be honest Gene. As I've said before I'm far from impressed with their communications when I've dealt with them regarding The Sweeney but there is zero excuse for poor service with orders. Cheers DE Gene.

It's good to see that films like Hell Drivers are being released on blue ray these days. I hope a lot more 50's and 60's films are released this way too.
I certainly hope Network improve their deliveries and customer relations though, but it's important that companies like Network keep going.
I've picked my dvd's out and I will be ordering them later on, forty three quids worth. One of them is a film starring Brian Rix (Anyone familiar with him?) called 'No holds Barred'. I saw this film as a kid and only found out the name of it about six months ago. I remember finding parts of it hilarious at the time, particularly a scene when some prisoners escape from Wormwood Scrubs through underground sewers.
I wonder if I will still find it as funny when I watch it again? I hope so.
Charles.

Part of my order has arrived today. Raise The Titanic Blu Ray edition in standard Blu Ray packaging. I've had a quick look through it and have to say I have mixed feelings about it. There are some nice extras included such as a selection of photos of the model used for filming and how it has deteriorated over the years that it has been left outside in Malta. Also a nice selection of behind the scenes photos. The included Music Suite, which I had most looked forward to is incomplete, which is slightly disappointing, but most of all is the picture quality. I fully appreciate that what they had to work with (original film elements) is nearly 40 years old but I did expect better results. Back to the music suite, it is accompanied by a selection of stills. These are appalling quality in my opinion. Something gone wrong with their encoding there I'm sure. At a little over £5 I still recommend getting it - if for the extras alone. Sadly though, I think they've rushed this one onto the shelves. Gene.

Well here is my update.
As only part of my order was shipped (2 items still to arrive) I called them today as when I checked the dispatch email they sent, it says order shipped. Not Part shipped.
The phone number to contact them brings up choices for which department you want. I selected option 1 for General order enquiries. I got through immediately but it was to a woman who spoke very poor English and was extremely rude. She asked for the order number and when I gave it she said "Items out of stock". I pointed out that nowhere on their site does it say the items were out of stock when I ordered - and still don't actually, and she said "They out of stock". I asked why their website doesn't say the items are out of stock and she replied abruptly "THEY ARE OUT OF STOCK, CALL NETWORK" and promptly hung up!
I called the number again, this time selecting option 2 "Network enquiries" and was again greeted by a woman who spoke with a foreign accent - albeit this time more polite. I went through the same rigmarole and she said they were out of stock due to selling out during the sale last week. She went on to promise that they would be back in stock next week and that I should receive them by the end of next week.
To say that I am fuming is an understatement. I think it will be a while before I order from them again.
Gene.

That is very bad customer relations to say the least Gene. Whoever is in charge of the company needs to sort out their employees. I would take it further and complain to the head.
Then again maybe it's the way companies operate today that is wrong. People perhaps thousands of miles away in call centres looking at computer screens.
I had a bad experience three or four weeks ago trying to get some sense from a person like the one you spoke to. That was to a mobile phone company.
Did you ever see that BBC TV film about fifteen years ago with Dennis Waterman, he played an ordinary businessman who gets so wound up with people like that, he ends up kidnapping the bloke in charge of the place that had caused him so much grief.
Anyway hope you enjoy the DVD's which did arrive.
Charles.
