There's been a fair bit of unconfirmed chat about the above recently, but sadly it is official, actor Del Henney passed away January 14th at the age of 83. The 1965 RADA graduate starred as Charley Venner in Sam Peckinpah's Straw Dogs (1971) and much TV work including as Eddie Boyse in The Sweeney episode "Jigsaw" and in two Professionals episodes " Where the Jungle Ends" as mercenary Benny Marsh and "A Man called Quinn" as that weeks lead guest star - Quinn, the former military man and escaped mental patient with a score to settle.
He also made appearances in Coronation Street, Minder and Juliet Bravo, and 2 other 70's British crime flicks, in Villain, and worked with John Wayne and James Booth in Brannigan.
RIP Del.

Sad news indeed RIP Del thanks for your contributions to some great films & TV programmes I've liked. Didn't watch it but ironically Talking Pictures had Villain on last night too might break it out tomorrow.

Yes I was watching him last night in Villain, didn't realise he was as old as that, thought he'd be in his mid to late 70s, so a good innings.
Graduated from RADA in 1965 alongside Georgina Hale, Robert Swann, Barbara Ewing & Fran Fullenwider.
RIP Del.

Yeah I thought Del was Irish Vi, none the less enjoyed the roles he's done over the years.
