2" tape (Quad) Machine - at one time was standard across BBC and ITV for recording and playback.
This is taken at Thames Television, in 1976
Telecine Control Area at Granada TV, taken around 1978.
You can see one of the Machines on the right in the B/G.
The Machine on the rear left (Black thing thing) - is a "Sep Mag Player" - used for soundtrack.

VTR Area at LWT on Southbank - again another 2" Quad tape machine.
This is a 1" tape VTR - evidently for Channel 4 - taken around 1984/5.
An ACR Cart Machine. This taken at Scottish Television, around 1979.
This machine could handle a large number of small video carts, each cart would contain a short item (adverts, promos, trailers, idents etc) and could be programmed to broadcast any tape, in any order.
The Red boxes on the top are the Carts.
