Hopefully these new rules on the aero will work and allow closer racing. They reckon a lot of downforce has been gained back already.

Frank Williams? Last I heard he was having a go at the Verger for letting Mainwaring use the Church hall on a Sunday morning... Williams F1 of course, is not looking too good again this year I'm sad to say. It looks like they are in for another dismal year. They were 2.3 seconds off the pace in testing. Though testing is famous for giving a false impression, I fear that Williams will be amongst the first cars lapped in Australia next weekend. Gene.

Sorry, no idea how F1 Frank is these days. He never looks the picture of health to me. Gene.

A pre event public show of drivers and principals at Melbourne Federation Square today. About 10,000 people gathered to see all drivers together on stage. Unfortunately I had to be at work so here is the media view. They arrived by boat to Fed. Sqe. That is one good pic taken by Mark Webber ! Webber is all over the place interviewing at the Melbourne GP. I've seen him at the track, on Melbourne Walk and he's always approachable and still extremely popular with the Aussie crowds.

Bottas and dalmatian puppies! Strange to see Kimi wearing Sauber/Alfa Romeo.

Brilliant pics BG thanks for sharing. Good the Melbourne race puts this event on where the city can get close to the drivers. The Melbourne race is definitely on the list for me too!
Danny Ricciardo looks weird in Renault colours after all his years with Red Bull.
Well not long now until the engines roar in Albert Park. Are Ferrari as good as their pre-season testing suggests? Have Mercedes sandbagged? Was Honda a good or bad move for Red Bull? Who are the best of the rest in the midfield? and can Williams pull something out of the bag from a miserable 2018 and a fairly woeful pre-season?
We’ll all know Sunday!
