Don’t know that one Windy. Some of Sia’s stuff is ok, I liked Cheap Thrills. Another Christmas song I’ve just remembered is It’s gonna be a cold cold Christmas by Dana, from 75, which isn’t bad

One I rather like from 1974 is 'Hey Mr Christmas' by Showaddywaddy. It strangely didn't reach it's peak of No.13 on the chart until 4th January 1975.

Another Mike Batt classic 'Wombling Merry Christmas' from 1974 ( Ian Ogilvy as The Saint at 2min 47 )
Somebody in the family bought The Barron Knights 7" 'Never Mind The Presents' in 1980, I don't think it got played much over the years, think it's in the loft with the other records now.

Unless I'm very much mistaken, there hasn't been a Christmas song I hold in particular esteem since East 17.
Love Wham - Last Christmas Greg Lake - I Believe in Father Christmas Queen - Thank God it's Christmas Chris De Burgh - A Spaceman Came Travelling Band Aid - Do They Know ... Elton John - Step Into Christmas Frankie Goes to Hollywood - The Power of Love
Hate Band Aid 20 ! Rocking Around the Christmas Tree All the hideous modern remakes by people whose style of "singing" is to sound like they can't be bothered and then change the tune just because they can.

The Waitresses one I do like. I think it was first released in either 81 or 82 and Im pretty sure its never done much chart wise, suprisingly

There's quite a few I'd never heard, or heard of, but I have to take issue with Mariah Carey at number one - and Slade languishing at number eight. Nothing against the Carey effort, it's actually a rock solid Xmas banger but Slade it ain't....
Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You
On the other hand The Waitresses at number four (see my earlier post) meets with my hearty approval
And at number four a song I'd never heard before but it's a goodie....
Marvin Gaye - Purple Snowflakes
I'll be dusting off my Xmas playlist in a couple of weeks and there's definitely a few ideas in the list to freshen it up
Here's a classic (IMO) which few people have heard of (and which didn't make The Guardian 50)....
Harry Connick Jr - Mary's Boy Child
Good innit?

I have a CD of Harry Connick's music somewhere from quite a few years back. I like him. I've not heard his version of this one before, but its very good.
The Christmas songs I utterly detest are the Motown type ones they play in supermarkets and Malls. I've noticed it a lot in the last few years.
