Blimey! How times change. And I don't mean the fashions either....
The footage we see is the stuff selected by the Editor and Director, regarded as suitable.
I bet the stuff cut out would make interesting viewing! ;-)

These are wonderfully evocative of great times. Thanks for posting them ST and thanks for sending them over GC I recognise a couple of the less obvious scenes (everyone should know the Piccadilly views). This one is on Kings Road. The pub in the centre was The Six Bells before changing name to Henry J Beans restaurant. It featured as a location in the very last Terry McCann episode of Minder called "The Wrong Goodbye". Here it is today - Google View 2019This one is again Kings Road, but a little further North. Thankfully the building has been restored. Here it is today - Google View 2019This view is of what was The Markham Arms even further along Kings Road. Sadly, though the building still stands, it has gone the way of far too many pubs and is now a branch of Santander. The only improvement being the colour scheme! Here it is today - Google View 2019Gene.

Fantastic photos. I like seeing the everyday stuff that,at the time, wouldnt have been noticed, such as shop fronts etc.

Absolutely fantastic photos. I just love looking at Footage and Photos like this. Amazing how clean the streets looked.
One thing strikes me - perhaps it's the little details that really make a difference - for me at least.
It's great to see the shop and building fronts totally unmolested by either over growing weeds/neglect, CCTV cameras, Satt Dishes and Burglar Alarm boxes. The same goes for the roads too - there is no forest of Enforcement signs and road printing.
