I’ve just rewatched this on TCM for about the 10th time and I think it’s a great film. Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman are great as Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, the Washington Post reporters who unravelled the Watergate conspiracy. I remember this in the news a lot at the time and it was a huge story. The strange thing is that, in comparison with some other political stuff which has happened more recently, it was a relatively minor incident.
Very well acted and filmed.

Do you remember Washington Behind Closed Doors on TV from early 1977? Excellent with Jason Robards as a President Monkton (I think) a sort of Nixon and a cover up to do with Watergate. Excellent, especially Robert Vaughn.

I've just never fancied this film at all. Many many underhanded things have taken place in American politics, probably a lot worse than Watergate.

The president involved in burglary of the DNC and subsequently destroying evidence, the tapes. Allegedly of course. Nixon was so bent his picture on the wall wouldn’t hang straight. Anyway this is politics so I shouldn’t be commenting!
