I've just found out that Peter Blake (Dear John, Minder, Out) died almost two weeks ago at the age of 69: R.I.P. Peter BlakeHe was best known to me as Kirk St.Moritz, the alter-ego of Eric Morris, one of the better characters in Dear John. R.I.P. Peter

Sad news indeed.
I fondly remember Peter's portrayal of Kirk in Dear John and recently saw him in the episode of Ever Decreasing Circles that Windy mentions above. His character in that episode is very Kirk like. Brash and loud he plays a practical joke on Martin that causes a lot of trouble.
RIP Peter.

Sorry to hear it, he was great as Kirk St.Moritz, the revelation that he was in fact a quiet, lonely character who lived with his mum was quite touching I thought. He was in 2 Trevor Preston shows, playing Pretty Billy Bins in 'Out' & singing the various songs in 'Fox'. RIP Peter.

He also had a minor hit record in late 77 with a song called Lip smacking rock n rollin. I vaguely remember Dear John and he was good in it
