As I have mentioned more than once, I have always regarded the above 10 years as a low point musically, with very little decent stuff and a year or two back when I was doing some mix CDs I got the whole period on just two discs.
This list is the playlist from these two CDs and they are not in any order, they represent the only stuff from the charts I liked from that 10 years.
Scorpions Wind of Change Travelling Wilburys Handle with care U2 Angel of Harlem Hall and Oates Out of Touch Nik Kershaw The Riddle and Wide Boy Kirsty McColl New England Heart Alone and These Dreams T Pau China in your Hands and Heart and Soul Jane Weidlin Rush Hour Mental as anything Live it up Bangles Manic Monday and Eternal Flame Billy Bragg Between the wars Beautiful South A little time Madonna Dear Jessie and Cherish Poison Every rose has its thorn Kim Wilde Four letter word Divinyls I touch myself Springsteen Born to run Mark Cohn Walking in Memphis Richard Marx Hazard Fleetwood Mac Little Lies Vanessa Paradis Joe le taxi Bruce Hornsby and the range The way it is Don Henley Boys of summer Swing Out sister Breakout Eric Carmen Hungry Eyes Four tops Loco in Acapulco Happy Monday’s Step on Tasmin Archer Sleeping satellites Dream academy Life in a northern town Quo In the army now Limahl Never ending story Belinda Carlisle Heaven is s place on earth Tiffany think we’re alone now Take That relight my fire and everything changes
And there we have it! Anyone like these or suggest any others?
I haven’t put them in order because I can’t remember when most of them were hits, as my interest had dwindled away at this time
