Noticed The Virginian has been shown weekday lunchtimes.
Trampas and co certainly bring back memories of late sixties and early seventies.
I think it was shown just before The Persuaders on Friday evenings when I was a sprog

I have the first few series of the sixties western series Rawhide which gave Clint Eastwood his big break haven't really watched all that many episodes of it yet though. The ones I've watched I've liked though. It's more of a man's western than some of the other series.
There's a western serie's being shown now on Talking Pictures called 'The Big Valley' like many westerns everything is spotlessly clean the cowboys are dressed so smartly you think they had their outfits dry cleaned regularly. Everything is so spic an span you could eat your meals of the floor
No wonder the spaghetti westerns made such a big impact when they came out.

Noticed The Virginian has been shown weekday lunchtimes. Trampas and co certainly bring back memories of late sixties and early seventies. I think it was shown just before The Persuaders on Friday evenings when I was a sprog I remember liking this, my favourite western. It became the Men from Shiloh for the last series. James Drury is still alive, though he doesn't do much ranching these days.
