Who owned one of the 1980's watches such as the Casio calculator watch or one of the many digital watches with musical alarms etc? I remember a lot of these watches would bleep on the hour and when I was in lessons at school there would be several watches bleep within seconds of each other on the hour. I had a calculator watch and a couple of other digital watches Steed

I got given a classic 80s watch 'Swatch' pink with artwork on the face and wide elastic strap with gold print, long since faded. That type of casio you mentioned has been reproduced lately, especially the gold ones with the black faces. Just need a Sergio Taccini tracksuit to complete the look!

Certainly did ! This was the same as mine ... I also had one of these ... Until I left it on the boot of my car to check the temperature and forgot it was there, and promptly started the car, turn the car round on the car park causing it to fall off, and drove over it Gene.

Yes i can remember being wowed by the calculator watch technology, but didn't have one of those. I did have a timex with red digital font, much like this one; I was right into the Swatch craze in the later part of the decade. I bought one of those with my hard earned paper round money

I did have a timex with red digital font, much like this one; A mate of mine had one like that where you had to push the button on the side to display the time. Stupid idea really, he couldn't ride his bike with no hands on the bars very well so could never tell if he was late for school.
Not that I ever asked him the time when we were cycling to school, much!
Sam.

Yes that's right Sam , the face of the watch was blank and you had to press it every time you wanted to see the Lemon (Lemon and Lime-time) A stupid feature that ran the battery out after a couple of months, much to the annoyance of my Dad.

Ha!This is bringing back some memories.Never had any of the watches above but I do remember them fondly.A few years back I had a mate who won a calculator watch in a raffle, when we were all on a stag do.He insisted on keeping the score with it when we were playing darts about an hour later.Longest game of darts in history, that was.

I had a hot pink Swatch watch back then too ! Later on I got given a white Swatch with arty lines on the face, but it had no indication of numbers on the dial so it was really hard to accurately tell the time.
