The other night I saw Kevin Whately make a brief appearance in a 1979 episode of Shoestring called 'The Partnership'. Vi

Shoestring was excellent. Two series in 79 and 80, one of my favourite detective series. Again, some excellent outdoor location filming.

A 1997 BBC documentary on La Frenais & Clement, parts of it are on youtube but the complete programme is on the auf-pet site, link below.
The AWP part starts at about 27 mins 30 secs.

I noticed Scottish actor John Kazek who was Yorgo in Series 3 in an episode of Taggart recently 'Running Out Of Time'. He plays a corrupt-ish copper Sgt Kevin McQuillan who tries to set up DCI Burke (Alex Norton) with a load of bent money and has him shot and injured while Burke is on holiday in rural Scotland.
I think it's one True Entertainment next week and it's a fairly good episode too.

As mentioned elsewhere on the forum, I watched "The Knowledge" last night and spotted Gary Holton "Wayne Winston Norris" as ladies man "Eddie Hairstyle", just a small role but he did get a bunk up so not all bad.

Recorded this weeks Special Branch of TPTV and noticed good old Georgine Anderson - Pauline Oxlade from Law and Disorder and Scoop has a fairly largish role as Mrs Bishop the administrator of a dubious religious cult in the episode The Children of Delight. She's less po-faced and stuffy in SB but perhaps a bit more...
She also came face to face with Jimmy Nail's bulldozer in Blott on the Landscape as Mrs Bullet-Finch too.

Spotted Pat Roach (Bomber) in this week's episode of "Hazell" on TPTV. Also saw the unlikely scenario of Roddy McMillan (Collie in "Sweeney 2") giving him a swift jab.

Barry Taylor, still learning to ride a motorbike & having trouble with his push bike & Marjorie Osbourne in 'Home Sweet Home', a 1982 Play For Today by Mike Leigh. See this if you can, it is brilliant in parts & you even get a good view of wor Marjorie's bristols in a see through negligee.
