Eric was THE dart player who drew me to the game. His rivalry with Jocky Wilson was fantastic as was the infamous 1983 final against Keith Dellar.
RIP Eric

He was a regular on Bullseye too, now he's sadly joined Jim again far too early!
R.I.P. Eric

Sad to hear of this and a true legend of darts. Like Del said loved his duels with John Lowe, Bobby George, Keith Deller and Jocky Wilson in the 80's and Phil Taylor and the leading lights of the PDC owe Eric a lot for the development of the game since the 80's. Shame he got that dart-itis issue which robbed him of his game in the 90's too. RIP Eric!
