Who remembers this 1986 mini-series? From Ian Kennedy Martin, the creator of The Sweeney, this was a pacey crime thriller about Miller and Collis, two Serious Crime Squad detectives investigating a mysterious tip-off which led to several drug couriers being arrested and shipments of drugs being taken away because of it. Kenneth Haigh (Man At The Top) played the main villain of the piece and there were some nasty, gritty moments as well as an action-packed climax. A regular series was set to follow, but nothing came of it which is a pity as this had the potential to be a Sweeney for the '80s. (Admin Note: Corrected photo tags to show image)

Don't recall seeing this, quite a few Sweeney actors in the cast of this Euston production. I recognise the actor on the right, Christopher Fulford, he played a young copper in 'Made In Britain', whacking Trevor the skinhead with his truncheon at the end. His first role according to imdb.

Fulford was convincing at playing nasty bad guys. He played a killer in D-Tox and was the main villain in the final series of Murphy's Law (James Nesbitt) who was responsible for the traumatic plight of our hero's colleague.
Richard Graham has done lots of stuff too. I saw him in Thief Takers episode Company Of Strangers as a criminal who was abusing his daughter. Very disturbing.

Seems interesting. Suppose it's something like Prospects from that period something which got decent viewing figures and (it seems) decent reviews but didn't really progress beyond the initial episodes.
