Having watched LOM whilst A2A was going on (unwittingly) I didn’t actually see any of it live, either!
Family friends of ours had mentioned them and I asked to borrow series 1 and by this point I had one of those tiny teles in my room but with the bonus of a built in DVD player. So I watched them by myself - something I’m now very thankful for because Dad will only watch one episode a night of anything!
I think I watched series 1 in about a week. It was during my AS levels in 2010 and I had loads of coursework to do. Obviously I loved series 1 and quickly got my hands on series 2 which took me around 3 days and by this point I was absolutely hooked and thought of little else whilst at school. So when I finished series 2 I realised I was now very behind on my work and needed to watch series 3 to get my life back! So I borrowed it on the way home from school and watched the whole series that day! I invited my friend around for tea - the one whose DVDs I had been borrowing - and we watched the last 3 together - she was rather stunned that I’d got through it all in one go but I just couldn’t stop myself and just had to know what was going to happen.
Quite enough waffling from me - over to you!

As per my LoM answer: I saw them first time round on TV I bought the DVDs a couple of years back to give them a re-watch. The Saint p.s. All that talk of AS levels in 2010, you will make Gene feel very old!

Same here.. again.
It was eagerly awaited after Life On Mars. I wasn't sure if it would work as well without John Simm and with Keeley Hawes but I think it worked perfectly. I watched the first episode as it was aired live on TV and didn't miss a single episode right up to the last one.
I would dearly love to see another series (or more) or at the very least a feature length episode/film with both Simm & Hawes reprising their characters with the Gene Genie.
Gene.

I tell a lie - it was 2011 and full A Levels! I must have just been thinking about 2010 because of the broadcast dates. I do envy you both! But in some ways I think waiting a week for an episode and a year for a series may have driven me completely insane! I do wish they’d make something, anything else with Gene, Alex and Sam (I suppose ) in.

Never heard of it 10 years ago, discovered LoM, which led to A2A, some time last summer. Late to the party, but catching up!.

I watched LOM for the first time in 2015 on dvd and loved it (of course). I had to buy A2A immediately as I had to know what happened next ! I watched it all over 4 weeks, it took that long as I was waiting for series 3 dvd to arrive in the post.

I still can’t get over what A2A DVDs cost these days! I went out with my work colleagues a few weeks back and my boss noticed my Ashes phone case and said “oh I had those but I never got round to watching them so my wife sold them on eBay”. so I must convince him to try again!
