Good shot Gene. It looks like a coupe from that angle.

No pictures.... yet, but I'll get a few at the next opportunity of a car I've been working on today.
A neighbour of mine has a 1972 MGBGT in red. It is in good overall condition, but the paintwork is in serious need of sorting out. I've made a start on it for him today. There is some serious orange peeling on the rear wings and the roof is very cloudy and riddled with swirls and holograms. I've done two passes with the Dual Action Polisher using a heavy cut pad and an aggressive cutting polish. Not for the feint hearted because as it is old paint, its not as hard as more modern finishes. After the first pass, it was looking good. The cloudiness has all but gone and a lot of the swirls and holograms had seriously reduced. Another pass with the DA and the cloudiness and holograms had gone and most of swirls too. I was reluctant to give another aggressive pass due to not having a paint depth gauge and I was concerned that the pads were showing signs of paint pickup. No time to do any more today as I have things to do before an early start in the morning and a drive down to Fenchurch nick to drop Bolly off for her shift.
In the coming week, I'll be giving the rest of the body the same treatment and then a final optical polish to refine the finish. I'll bag some pictures when it's done.
Gene.

Sounds like a good bit of work there Gene, looking forward to seeing some smudges of the 'B GT. That Saab looks a peach too!

Our daughter had a red Fiesta which was getting more and more towards a cloudy pink. When the time came to flog it I set about tidying it up.
Just like Gene I went over it with a polisher and bought it back up to its correct colour, used some black bumper polish on the grey plastic bumpers, and then put it on eBay. Similar Fiestas were at that time going for about £250, ours went up and up finally finishing at £720! The bloke was round the next day with the cash too. Just shows what a difference a bit of effort can make so I'm looking forward to seeing the pics Gene.
Sam.

Good job Sam. One of the cheapest tricks that works well is WD40 for unpainted outside plastic parts it gives them a good sheen and is dirt cheap and easy to work with. looks good on engine bay plastics too.

A few classics spotted while out and about with mates over the weekend.... A neglected mini... A lovely old Amazon which I've spotted many times... And a gorgeous BMW 2000 Touring... Gene.
