I've just had a request from Steve Austin who has visited "The Gamekeeper" pub from The Beiderbecke Tapes recently. He's sent over a great then & now of the place which has sadly gone the way of most pubs these days and is no longer a drinker. Thanks for sending them over Steve In order of decline: (Please use the arrows to scroll through the photos) https://www.instagram.com/p/C2DEIcqIwBW Gene.

At least it still has the Tetley sign on the gable, makes you wonder what the nippers will be drinking there. Shame that yet another boozer has gone and all the character of the building has been lost to the necessary changes to meet modern standards for nurseries. Thanks to the six million dollar man for taking the time to put together the images, and thanks also to Gene for hosting them. Sam.

Interesting stuff, well done Steve and thanks to the guvnor for hosting them I need to revisit the Beiderbecke trilogy, it’s been about 25 years since I last watched it. The Saint
