Anyone like these or watched them? James Bolam and Barbara Flynn were in it, together with Terence Rigby and others and the script, by Alan Plater, was brilliant.
I liked the first series best of the three, the middle one, Tapes, was the weakest and slightly far fetched, but the final one, Connection, was back up to standard.
Ive also got the book of the series and it’s very well written and a good read

I watched The Beiderbecke trilogy about 20 years ago when they were repeated on TV and thoroughly enjoyed them About 2 years ago, I bought the DVD box-set in the Network sale, not got round to watching the DVDs yet, but will do at some point. The Saint

I've visited many of the locations used in the series. I was with Sam a few years back covering a few Sweeney locations and we were walking along Westbourne Park Road. As we crossed Portobello Road, we bumped into Dominic Jephcott who played Inspector Hobson in The Beiderbecke Connection. We wished each other a good morning and went on our way. Seemed a friendly chap. Gene.

I can remember watching the trilogy while still at home with my parents when it was originally broadcast but I can't remember much about it as I've never seen it since. I do remember enjoying it at the time so maybe it is time for me to invest in a copy and give it another viewing.
Sam.

I too remember watching it at the time and liked it. I have the trilogy box set but have not got around to watching it yet. Must do that. Makes you want to buy a Bedford HA van lol.

Have never seen this at all, although I do vaguely remember hearing about it years ago. Perhaps I'll get hold of it sometime in the future. Charles.

I did watch it all years ago on TV and used to enjoy it. It's been so long that I can't really remember too much about it but I would like to get it on DVD and rewatch it
