Incredibly saddened to hear of Sir Roger's passing, such a likeable person with such a great sense of humour. He has given us so many great characters over the years both on the big screen and small, and with superb presence and his own character on so many chat shows.
I think that the last show I saw him on was Car S.O.S when Tim Shaw asked him to autograph the leather seat of a Volvo P1800 that they were restoring. The part of the show with him was well presented but the out-take at the end clearly demonstrated Sir Roger's character, superb!
Thanks for all the entertainment over the years...
R.I.P Sir Roger

Very sad news. One of the best James Bonds. "The man who haunted himself is an excellent film" R.I.P. Sir Roger Steed.

RIP Sir Roger Moore - a great loss to the entertainment world and his friendly "time for anyone" persona and sense of humour will be sorely missed, a fabulous career and one of the "Best of the British"! I enjoyed his Bond films too (preferring the earlier 70's era ones) and was great in his different TV series, and films like Crossplot, The Man Who Haunted Himself, and The Wild Geese as well as others. A great innings too at 89.

Like everyone, I was very sad to hear of Sir Roger's passing, even more so considering the timing bearing in mind his huge work for children in his role with UNICEF contrasting this with the terrorist attack targeting children and young people in Manchester. Sir Roger was an example of how to be a star, always the gentleman, giving of his time for others, nobody ever said a bad word about him. I liked that he didn't take the showbiz world too seriously and could laugh at himself, it is very telling that he considered his greatest achievement to be his work with UNICEF for the last 26 years. He played a Saint, a Lord, a Commander and in real life was deservedly made a Knight for services to charity. RIP Sir Roger Moore

It's so very sad that we've lost Roger. He was a true Gent, with a wonderful sense of humour. He was always disparaging himself, but he was a better actor than he gave himself credit for.
I was only watching him on TV this morning with Alexandra Bastido on ITV4 in an episode of The Saint (My favourite of Roger's roles.) before the announcement came through.
Roger did a lot for the UNICEF children's charity and an animal cause. I think that we're very lucky to have had him entertaining us all these years. We will miss him a lot.
RIP.

Oh yes, remember that one too where he co-starred with James Mason. very good! As was his tireless work for UNICEF I forgot to mention.

Absolutely my favourite Bond, such a nice man too. When my son was 9 his whole class wrote to celebrities as part of a writing project. The typical footballers, x factor and pop stars were chosen. My son chose Roger Moore Only two children had replies. My son had a letter responding to his question about the new Bond. Its a treasured possession.
