Incredibly saddened to hear Roger Moore has passed away following a brave battle with the dreaded bug.

My favourite Bond too. Loved Live and Let Die and The Spy who loved me. RIP and thanks, Sir Roger.

Live And Let Die was the first Bond film I saw in the cinema so, for me, Roger Moore was always 'my' Bond. I watched The Man With The Golden Gun at the weekend for the umpteenth time too - Moore seemed to relish in the role so much. He did so much good for the world as well as a Unicef goodwill ambassador, etc. So much bad news today.... 😢

Sad to hear it, as well as being a likeable actor who never took himself too seriously, he was a caring man who made a decision to work as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF. It is unfortunate & cruel to lose a man who worked to raise awareness of the lot of children in developing countries at a moment in time when horrendous disregard for young lives has been shown. RIP Roger.

Roger was the Bond who reminded me most of a Royal Navy officer. 'The man who haunted himself' is an excellent RM film. RIP Sir Roger Moore.

Sad News. RIP Roger Moore.
Not much of a Bond fan myself but I did like him in the Cannonball Run.

Very sad news, a real gent with a great sense of humour who had time for anyone and will be sorely missed... RIP Simon Templar, Lord Brett Sinclair, Commander Bond, Harold Pelham. I'm about half way through the Saint box sets for the second time and still enjoying The Persuaders on freeview 61, tonight's episode will be watched wit ha little sadness but a wry smile too.
