People that get on my thruppenies? Where to start! Those that get me are those using their 'fame' to become politically motivated: Andy Murray: promotes Scottish Independence but lives in Surrey, bloody hypocrite! Jamie Oliver: lobbied the government to bring in sugar tax, of course they'll follow any excuse for another tax but who the hell is he really doing this for? Self promotion and pampering to a nanny-state. Has it actually reduced peoples' intake of sugary drinks etc? I have my doubts. Charlotte Church: Voice of an Angel once but voice of a confused and irrational fool now. Russell Brand: words cannot express my disdain for this waste of space, and he's not in the slightest bit funny either. The sperm that conceived him should have been flushed away in a Kleenex. Sam. I see your Russell Brand and raise with Lily Allen and any other "celeb" telling us to open our wallets and/or home to the latest cause. Keeps them in the public eye and makes them look very "right-on", easy when you don't live in the real world.

I like that one about Russel Brand Sam This thread's a bit hard hitting isn't it? Good! Charles. It's good to get it off your chest Charles, better here than ranting at poor old Nelson in the Railway Arms. Whilst we're at it, i'd like to put people who start their sentence with "So" into Room 101. Used by @rseholes to imply that they are of a higher intelligence and have given what they are about to say a very great deal of thought. Whenever I hear it used this way my oil pressure raises just a little more, I'm on a daily check with OSI these days!!

Yep Lenny Henry is another I avoid Premier Inn hotels like the plague if I can because I don't want to bump into him. The Newcastle one being the exception of course. Gene Genie.

Whilst we're at it, i'd like to put people who start their sentence with "So" into Room 101. That gets my vote too Steve, and also those that finish their sentences with "Yeah?" in a patronising "Do you understand plain English?" manner. "So, I was in the car on my way home, yeah? And I pulled up to the roundabout just before turning in to my road, yeah?" Why do I need to confirm each and every sentence for them? Why do they need that reassurance? Sam.

How the hell does he get all that work? Obviously the BBC thinks he's brilliant, but I don't rate him at all. I remember watching him on the Des O' Connor talk show in the nineties. Des had a comedian on who was very funny and did well, next thing Henry came on and was total rubbish, barely a titter from the audience. I've never had any time for him and I've heard others day the same thing. Hard to understand his success. Charles.

What about Amanda Holden? I wonder if anyone on the forum shares my opinion of her? Apparently she's back on the box on Saturday evenngs in B.G.T. (I will try my best to avoid this show.) She really annoys me, absolutely can't stand her. That Simon Cowell has a lot to answer for.
Charles.

Oooh, don't get me started!! Agree with may of the "no brains" already mentioned but a few more to add;
These bloody useless female celebrities that apparently were pop stars and make a right mess later, when their career flounders and expect everyone to feel sorry for them, like Kerry blooming Katona! I get her mixed up with Daniella Westbrook (another one, who sounds as bad)
I'm not trying to be anti women or sexist as there is a great many talented celeb women around of course, but they don't set a great example for teenage girls and young women.
And Piers Morgan - overpaid posh wind up merchant.
And what about David Walliams and Jimmy Carr, need I say more??

So I was going to mention people who start sentences with 'so', another is saying 'I'm good' instead of 'I'm well'. Rolling 24 hour news, particularly the continuous moving tape of vague soundbites of information at the bottom of the screen on BBC News 24- 'Stoke mayor wins award', 'Corbyn finally rejects offer', '5 suspected dead in fire'...what award? what offer? what fire?

One that annoys me is when people say "I was like..." instead of "I said...", for example:
"...and I was like, what was that about?"
instead of
"...and I said, what was that about?"
W*nkers! :w***er:
